GO DOWN MOSES


1. When Israel was in bondage oppressed on every hand,
God's law had all been broken and sorrow filled the land.
But when the sea did ripple, a voice began to shout,
"Go down to Egypt's troubled land and bring my people out!"

2. He heard the Master speaking in gentle tones that day,
He heard Him saying, "Moses, go down and lead the way."
Then Moses took the message, and, at the Lord's command,
He went for every child of God in Egypt's troubled land.
