50TH. WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

MOM & DAD - October, 1987

Listen to the tune
It's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
Fifty years of ups and downs you've both been through.
It's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
So I'd like to sing this special song to you.

You worked real hard down in the barn
And doing chores around the farm
But still we had a lot of fun at evening time when work was done.
You taught us how to laugh and play,
You taught us how to pay our way,
And I thank God for such a loving Mom and Dad.

Yes, it's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
Fifty years of joys and tears you've both been through.
It's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
But I've got one more verse to sing before I'm through.

When Sunday came, we always knew
That we'd be off to Sunday School.
Not a doubt was in our minds that we'd be there at church-bell time.
You helped us see the Lord above
By giving freely of your love,
And I'm so glad he gave us you, Mom and Dad.

Yes, it's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
Fifty years of ups and downs you've both been through.
It's your Golden Anniversary, Mom and Daddy,
And we're gathered here today because We Love You.
